ギャンブル系のiOSアプリがストアから一斉に強制撤去、もう個人では出せなくなったっぽい【iOS】

はじめに

日本時間の2018年8月9日頃に

ギャンブル系のiOSアプリが一斉にストアから強制撤去されるという事件が発生しました。



今回はこれについてまとめた記事です。


自分のアプリも消されてた

「前は麻雀アプリ出してたけど、今は特に何も出してないから自分には関係ないやろ。」

と呑気な事を考えながらストアを見たら、自分のアプリも一つ消されてました。

Appleからのメッセージは以下の通り。

Gamble to this game

Dear developer,

In order to comply with the government's request to reduce fraud in the App Store and deal with illegal online gambling activities, gambling applications submitted by individual developers are no longer allowed. This includes both real money gaming apps and apps that simulate gamble experiences.

As a result, this app has been removed from the App Store. You can not distribute gambling apps from this account, but you can continue to submit other types of apps to the App Store for distribution.

Only accounts confirmed from embedded business entities may submit a gambling application for distribution on the App Store. For details on how to register an organization with the Apple Developer Program, please visit the registration page. For details on how to transfer the application to another developer account, see the "Application Transfer Overview" page in the App Store Connect Developer Help.

The App Store Review Guidelines states that it is your responsibility to ensure that the application comply with the legal requirements of where the application is made available. If you submit an app designed to mislead or hurt customers or to avoid the review process, the Apple Developer Program account may be terminated. どうやら違法なオンラインギャンブルに対処するため、ギャンブル系アプリを撤去したようです。


しかし、消された「ミニョンモンスター」はモンスターファーム+バトルえんぴつ的なゲームで、

ギャンブル要素は皆無、なぜ消されたのか謎は深まるばかりです。


原因

おそらく「リリースされている全アプリをチェックするのは無理」なので、

「カテゴリがカジノ」もしくは「レーティングでギャンブル性があるとした」アプリを全て撤去

したのではないかと思います。


実際、消されたミニョンモンスターは「カテゴリがカジノ」でした。

なお、Appleに異議申し立てしたら何とかなったケースもあるようなので、

「ギャンブルアプリじゃないのに消された！」という場合は、

とりあえず問い合わせしてみるのが良いかもしれません。

復活

以下のような感じで、消されたミニョンモンスターも問い合わせをしてみた所、

このゲームにギャンブル要素はないと思うのですが、どの部分がギャンブル要素に該当するのでしょうか？

We are restoring your app's availability on the App Store. Please update your app's rating with a new binary to remove "Simulated Gambling" so that it is consistent with the content of your app.

To create a new binary and change your app's rating, follow these steps:

  • Log in to App Store Connect
  • Click on "My Apps"
  • Select your app
  • Click the link to add a new version of your app on the left side of the screen
  • Scroll down to select a Rating on the version information page
  • Click the Edit button next to "Rating"
  • Change the Rating selections
  • Select the appropriate rating for your app
  • Click "Save"
  • Once you've completed all changes, click the "Save" button at the top of the App Version Information page.
  • Submit your app’s revised binary for review

返信から察するにレーティングが問題だったようです。

法人は大丈夫

今回の事件は個人アカウントだけの話だけだったらしく、

法人アカウントからリリースされているアプリは撤去されていないようです。


なので、ギャンブル系のiOSアプリをどうしても出したい場合は法人成りするのも手かもしれません。

まぁそれこそギャンブルではありますが……。




なお、法人成りした後のアカウントの切り替えは結構簡単らしいです。





おわりに

カジノカテゴリに個人でアプリがリリース出来ないままなのか、

カジノカテゴリ以外にしたらどうなるのか、法人なら絶対に大丈夫なのか等、

今どうなのか、今後どうなるかのは全然分かりませんが、

きっと何かが変わるとしても一切の告知無く行われるでしょうから、

覚悟はしておいた方が良いかもしれません。


まさしく、神(Apple)のみぞ知る世界(App Store)ですね……！
